Rod av. 4.77. Grafham Water continues to fish exceptionally well with loads of limits and some terrific bag weights.  The boat anglers have had the cream of the sport with the western end of the reservoir (Savages Creek, Nature Reserve frontage, Lymmage bank and Lodge frontage) all producing very consistent catch rates.  Other than the West bank Gaynes Cove and Sailing Club Bay have also produced excellent fishing.  The main methods this week have once again been either floating lines with black or olive buzzers, diawl bachs and pheasant tail nymphs fished static or medium sink lines with gold head damsel nymphs or black and green dog nobblers/tadpoles fished at a slow figure of eight.
Bank anglers have had some great sport this week mainly from the bowl of the dam and Gaynes Cove on floating lines with black or olive buzzers, damsel nymphs and olive tadpoles fished at a slow figure of eight.  Best bag of the week was taken by Peterborough angler Leon Smith.  Leon caught 8 trout for 24lb 7oz by fishing static buzzers at Savages Creek.
Best rainbow: 5lb 7oz taken by William Knight of Oakley, Beds.
Best brown: 3lb 12oz taken by John Triggs of St Ives.
Best boat areas: L and H buoys, Savages Creek, lodge frontage, Valley Creek, the Seat, Sailing Club Bay, Gaynes Cove.
Best bank areas : Bowl of Dam, Gaynes Cove.

Rod av. 4.38. Continued to fish well with static black or olive Buzzers taking the vast majority of trout being caught on floating lines. Boat anglers enjoying the best of it, mainly at the western end of the reservoir. Diawl Bachs and Crunchers also working. Medium sink lines also scoring coupled with with gold head Damsel Nymphs, Diawl Bachs, GRHE and Black & Green Tadpoles and fished slowly.
Variable winds has meant bank anglers have occasionally managed to find some good fishing this week at Gaynes Cove, Savages Creek and the south Dam.

Don’t buzzers usually fish well on Grafham?
