My girlfriend is currently studying in Barcelona and I´m going to visist her in august, maybe even staying there from september onwards.

Been looking on Google maps and there are several rivers and creeks around Barcelona.
I´d really be very grateful for any information concerning if there is trout in any of these? After some search on Google there seems to be trout in La Rierada?

Any troutwaters in Catalonia would be interesting, and the closer to Barcelona, the better!

Bit late on this one but…....

I don’t know about closer to Barcelona but I have fished the Rio Segre with some success.
A chum and I fished a stretch between Riberra d’Urgellet down to Noves de Segre for a week during breaks from a fortnights working holiday in the area.
Not much luck with trout except in the evenings, but some nice chub were pretty keen on the dry flies we purchased with an outfit from a shop in Andorra - we hadn’t taken any gear with us, wasn’t expecting to be fly fishing in Catalonia!
Success with trout came after watching a local fishing CDC flies (I hadn’t used them before) like spiders - upstream and down. It was an education.
There are dammed sections of river which I’m sure must hold some nice fish but the whole river is stunning.
That was over 13 years ago, but I’d be hopeful it hasn’t changed too much in that time.
