Merry Christmas

The season is more or less over for the fly-fisher in the British Isles, most of my friends now turning to the long-trotted maggot or worm for grayling. I like a break, however, and I am looking to the salmon season that starts in Ireland on New Year’s Day. I shan’t go over until February….I’ve far too many flies to tie!
