30lb fish taken on the Dee
Yesterday the Dee (Aberdeenshire) produced a potential Malloch trophy candidate when Marko Hannonen from Finland landed this 30lb fish off the Birse beat.
The springer was one of three taken by Marko on the fly (a small Sunray Shadow dressed on a plastic tube), and was measured at 1m 10cm (which would make it 30lb). Marko's colleague, Lars Terkildsen, also took a fish.
