Lots of lots

Lots of lots

Prime salmon fishing on some of the world's finest rivers are up for grabs at the 2012 River Dee Trust auction. Held on March 1 at the Saville Club in London, lots include salmon fishing in Scotland (Dee, Naver and North Harris), Norway (Gaula and Reisa), Iceland (East Ranga), Russia (Kola, photo above) and sea trout fishing in Argentina (Rio Grande) and Sweden (Morrum).

Other lots include tackle, books and fine sporting art.

Funds raised will go to the Upper Dee Riparian Scheme, an ambitious £2.4 million project to protect over 50km (31 miles) of riverbank and create over 1,100 acres of new native woodland in order to enhance salmon spawning and juvenile habitat.

Attendance at the auction is free although it is necessary to reserve a place. For further information, including the placing of telephone or sealed bids, visit www.riverdee.org.uk or contact the Trust direct (01339 880411) for a catalogue.
