TV fishing personality, John Wilson, and ex-England goalkeeper David Seaman will be just two of a handful of stars on show at Rutland Water on August 14 as the Anglian Water ‘Helping the Heroes’ Pairs Charity Fly Fishing Competition takes place in aid of the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity.

World champion, Iain Barr, FF&FT's Charles Jardine, John Horsey, England Ladies International Martha Thomson, and Snowbee's England international Simon Kidd will be amongst those fishing and individual anglers can bid to fish with them for the day.

After the fishing ceases at 4pm, John Wilson and David Seaman will assist local auctioneer Jeff Dale with an auction with a impressive list of lots.

It is hoped that the event will realise £15,000 for ‘Help for Heroes’ – the national charity that helps wounded troops returning from the various theatres of war.
