Heat Holders look like normal, thick-knitted socks, then inside the yarn has been brushed to give a soft smooth inner surface.
Wearing these posed me a slight problem, they are thick bulky socks, too bulky for my everyday footwear – OK, in wellies and a pair of walking boots. To wear these inside wading boots I would need to go up a boot size.
Having sorted out the footwear, these hold in the warmth exceptionally well. The brushed insides are soft and very comfortable, my feet tended to slip about a bit on the brushed inner but the socks stayed on and up.
These are described as ‘chunky’ and that they are. They need a roomy boot, but they are the warmest socks I’ve worn.
